We are happy to invite the Third Grade Class of Glenmont Elementary for an evening of astronomical observing at the UAlbany? Observatory.
We will open the observatory on Saturday March 4th from 6pm through 9pm.
The weather is predicted to be clear and very cold, dropping to about 8F.
Please dress warm with hat and mittens/gloves.
There will be a warm indoors waiting area, but the observatory itself is not heated and is open to the elements. There are bathrooms in the building.
Directions:
Please follow the parking map below to the Faculty/Staff State Lot.
We will have balloons indicating the parking area.
Then proceed on foot to the Earth Science Building where student assistants will guide you inside to the third floor.
